Also known as the Stop Being a B Once a Month Roll-On Recipe, this blend is sure to tame even the grumpiest women. But who can blame us right? Periods and the symptoms that come before, during, and after can be downright uncomfortable.
Yes, it’s true, us girls can get grouchy during that time of the month, but cut us some slack! It’s not fun dealing with secret women’s business every 28 days. I never used to be one of those women who wanted to choke everyone in sight at the drop of a pin, but I’m not so sure anymore.
The constant fight or flight mode of a stressful full-time job has driven me into adrenal burnout, one that’s deep enough to affect hormones and how they circulate and function properly. These days, as a result, I find myself getting grumpier and less forgiving of things that never used to irk me. They call it the dreaded PMS!
I never thought in a million years I would be affected by PMS, yet here it is rearing its angry ugly head. I get grumpy over the silliest things now, things that don’t even make sense to the normal bystander. On top of that, my OCD has shot through the roof and I cry or fly off the handle at the drop of a hat, especially when my fiancé is joking around (which he likes to do daily and often…lol).
What the heck man!? I’m sick of being mad over nothing!
So what’s a poor PMS stricken girl to do? Tame the dragon of course!
Stop PMSing Roll-On Recipe
The recipe below is a magical blend of essential oils that help calm fiery moods and soothe crankiness during the female monthly cycle.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
• 20 drops clary Sage essential oil - known to ease cramps, heavy bleeding, hot flashes, and imbalanced hormones.
• 10 drops fennel essential oil - reduces fluctuating hormone levels.
• 20 drops lavender essential oil - soothes stress and lowers cortisol levels.
• 10 drops marjoram essential oil (optional) - pain relieving and hormone balancing.
• 1 drop jasmine essential oil (optional) - improves negative energy.
• 1 glass roll-on bottle
• A small funnel
• Fractionated coconut oil or your favorite oil of choice such as sweet almond, jojoba , grape seed, avocado, etc.!
Loving Preparation - Stop PMSing Roll-On Recipe
• Add each essential oil to the roll on bottle
• Next, fill the glass roll-on bottle with the fractionated coconut oil. Be careful not to overfill it.
• Snap on the roll on piece into place
• Cap tightly and roll the roll-on bottle in your hands to mix
To Use-
• Apply the PMS blend to the bottoms of the feet every night before bed 12 days after your cycle begins. For example, if your cycle began Jan 1st, you would begin application on Jan 12th.
• Apply every night for 2 weeks. Then repeat the process.
After the first 2-3 months of application, symptoms should be greatly reduced and you’ll be back to your normal happy self.

Hi Tash,
I was taken to your website when I was looking for a DoTerra ClaryCalm copycat recipe. I am in menopause and have been so for many years. I suffer from hotflashes, nightsweats and wakeful nights. ClaryCalm does help and I use it nightly on the bottom of my feet. I would like to make my own blend if I can find the correct doses to the oils they list on their roller bottle. I appreciate any advice you can offer.
Respectfully, Anne

Hello Tash!
I absolutely love your site and have learned quite a bit.
I know in the YL Dragon Time they include yarrow. I do have yarrow essential oil. If I wanted to include it in this blend, how many drops would be appropriate? Thank you for posting this recipe. There are quite a few YL blends that I would love to try but I have the individual oils and I find my zen, so to speak, when mixing blends. Also, Dragon Time has been sold out.
Thank you,
Megan

Hi Megan!
I actually get my yarrow essential oil from Simplers Botanicals. They are also a high quality essential oil company that I use when YL doesn't have an EO I need. You can get it on Amazon here! As for the drops, if you're making the roll-on recipe I would just add 3-4. It's a very powerful oil so you don't need much!
Hope this helps and I'm so happy to hear you enjoy my site 😀

Thank you, Tash! If I wanted to make a 5ml stock bottle how would I adjust the proportions?
Tash says
Hello again!
Are you trying to make a pure EO stock bottle or one that is cut with a carrier oil? 🙂
Megan says
Both if possible.
Tash says
Hi Megan! Ok, I've come up with an even BETTER synergistic blend that matches Dragon Time pretty closely 😀 Sorry it took a while (lots of mixing), but here it is!
For a 5ml bottle of straight EO-
Lavender- 8 drops
Marjoram- 20 drops
Fennel- 24 drops
Clary sage- 24 drops
Yarrow- 4 drops
Jasmine- 4 drops (even less is good because it is quite floral and you don't need much)
For a roll-on blend-
For sensitive skin, divide the above amounts by 4 and fill the rest of the roll-on bottle with carrier oil.
For normal/hardy skin, divide the above amounts by 2 and fill the roll-on bottle the rest of the way with carrier oil.
I hope this helps! <3

I love the recipe thank you. I think it is common for us (women) to demonize PMS which I think does a big disservice to ourselves and women in general. PMS is a cluster of symptoms that is usually a warning sign from our minds/ body/ spirit that how we are currently living our lives is not working.... I invite us to welcome PMS and listen to what it is telling us; which is usually to close time, connect with others and take better care of ourselves.

I agree Kelli!
